'A clever kit form replica of this famous Victorian optical toy'
Invented in the 19th century, zoetropes or 'wheels of life' were popular Victorian toys. It’s a moving picture device comprising a spinning drum with viewing slots to see a set of animations. Simply spin the drum, look through the slots and watch the picture come alive. Children and adults are fascinated by zoetropes which are the precursor of modern cinema.
Use this kit to make a working model of a zoetrope complete with a set of colouring-in animation strips.
